# Phase 1: Foundation (Q3 2024 - Q4 2024)

The Foundation phase is crucial for establishing the core infrastructure and basic functionalities of the DeCores platform. During this phase, we focus on building a solid base upon which we can expand and scale our decentralized cloud computing ecosystem.

### Key Objectives

1. **Launch of Minimum Viable Product (MVP)**
   * Develop and deploy the core DeCores platform with basic functionality.
   * Implement fundamental resource sharing and allocation mechanisms.
   * Create simple, intuitive interfaces for both providers and consumers.
2. **Blockchain Infrastructure**
   * Develop and test the DeCores blockchain, ensuring security and scalability.
   * Implement smart contract functionality for basic platform operations.
   * Establish initial consensus mechanisms and network validators.
3. **Security and Compliance**
   * Conduct initial security audits of the platform and smart contracts.
   * Implement basic security protocols and encryption standards.
   * Begin the process of regulatory compliance in key jurisdictions.
4. **Community Building**
   * Launch the DeCores website and documentation.
   * Establish community channels (Discord, Telegram, forums).
   * Begin marketing and outreach efforts to attract early adopters.
5. **Alpha Testing**
   * Onboard a select group of alpha testers (both providers and consumers).
   * Gather feedback and iterate on the platform based on user experiences.
   * Identify and resolve critical bugs and performance issues.
6. **Developer Tools**
   * Release initial SDK and API documentation.
   * Provide basic developer guides and tutorials.
   * Establish a bug bounty program to encourage community contributions.
7. **Tokenomics Groundwork**
   * Finalize the DCR token economics model.
   * Prepare for token generation event (TGE).
   * Establish partnerships with key exchanges for future listing.
8. **Governance Framework**
   * Design the initial governance structure for the DeCores DAO.
   * Develop smart contracts for basic governance functions.
9. **Performance Benchmarking**
   * Establish baseline performance metrics for the platform.
   * Implement basic monitoring and analytics tools.
10. **Initial AI/ML Integration**:
    * Lay groundwork for AI agent and MCP integration.
    * Begin research into core components for decentralized AI.
11. **Partnerships and Collaborations**
    * Initiate discussions with potential strategic partners.
    * Explore collaborations with academic institutions for research and development.

### Milestones

* Q3 2024:
  * Launch of DeCores MVP
  * Completion of initial security audit
  * Onboarding of first 100 alpha testers
* Q4 2024:
  * Release of developer SDK and API documentation
  * Establishment of community governance framework
  * Completion of tokenomics model and preparation for TGE

### Success Metrics

* Successful deployment of MVP with 99.9% uptime
* Onboarding of at least 500 active users (providers and consumers combined)
* Completion of 10,000 successful resource allocation transactions
* Gathering of comprehensive user feedback to inform future development

The Foundation phase sets the stage for the future growth and success of DeCores. By focusing on building a robust core platform and fostering an engaged community, we aim to create a solid launchpad for the subsequent phases of our roadmap.
